These servicing warning lights are normally reset (turned off) by the main dealer once they have finished servicing your vehicle.

If you have just serviced your vehicle yourself, or had it serviced in a local garage you may find that the 'service interval warning light' still needs to be reset to turned the light off.

Audi TT 1.8 - 1998 to 1999

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

The words 'SERVICE' or ' SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Release button [A].

Turn button [B] to the right to reset the display.

The words 'SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi TT 1.8 - 2000 to 2005

If you wish to retain longlife servicing, the service interval indicator should only be reset by diagnostic equipment.  

If you are using longlife servicing and you use the procedure below you servicing intervals will return to fixed servicing intervals.

Procedure one (try either)

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

Release button [A].

The words 'SERVICE' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Within 5 seconds press and hold button [B] until the words 'SERVICE' is cleared from the trip recorder display.

Switch ignition OFF.

Procedure two (try either)

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

Release button [A].

The words 'SERVICE' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Turn button [B] to the left to clear the dispaly.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi A3 - 1996 to 1999

Audi A4 - 1998 to 1999

If you wish to retain longlife servicing, the service interval indicator should only be reset by diagnostic equipment.  

If you are using fixed servicing intervals you can use the procedure below .

Oil - Oil Service

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

The word OIL will display in the trip recorded display.

Release button [A].

Pull out button [B] for about 2 seconds to reset the display.

INSP - Inspection Service

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

The word OIL will display in the trip recorded display.

Release button [A].

Press and release button [A].

Pull out button [B] for about 2 seconds to reset the display.

The word INSP will display in the trip recorded display.

Pull out button [B] for about 2 seconds to reset the display.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi A3 (1.6) - 2000 to 2007

Audi A4 (1.6) - 2000 to 2001

Procedure one (try either)

If you wish to retain longlife servicing, the service interval indicator should only be reset by diagnostic equipment.  

If you are using fixed servicing intervals you can use the procedure below .

Switch ignition ON.

Pull and release button [A]. A 'spanner' symbol or the word 'SERVICE' will appear in the display within 5 seconds.

Pull and hold button [A] until the message '----' or 'SERVICE IN -----KM-----DAYS' appears in the display.

Release button [A]

Switch ignition OFF.

Procedure two (try either)

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

Release button [A]

The words 'SERVICE' or ' SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display..

Turn button [B] to clear  the display.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi A4 (1.6) - 2001 to 2007

Audi S4 (4.2) - 2003 to 2007

If you wish to retain longlife servicing, the service interval indicator should only be reset by diagnostic equipment.  

If you are using fixed servicing intervals you can use the procedure below .

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

Release button [A]

The words 'SERVICE' or ' SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display..

Press button [B] until the display clears and is replaced with the new service interval or 'SERVICE'.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi A6 - 1997 to 1999

Oil - Oil Service

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

The word OIL or OEL will display.

Release button [A].

Pull out button [B] until letters aer erased and replaced by ---.

INSP - Inspection Service

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

Release button [A].

Press and release button [A].

Pull out button [B] for about 2 seconds to reset the display.

The word INSP will display.

Pull out button [B] until display clears and is replaced with new service interval.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi A6 - 2000 onwards

Audi A2 - 2000 onwards

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

Release button [A]

The words 'SERVICE' or ' SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display..

Press button [B] to clear  the display.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi A6 (2.0D) - 2005 to 2007

Service interval indicators can only be reset with suitable diagnostic equipment.

Audi RS6  - 2003 to 2005

If you wish to retain longlife servicing, the service interval indicator should only be reset by diagnostic equipment.  

If you are using fixed servicing intervals you can use the procedure below .

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

The words 'SERVICE' or ' SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Release button [A].

Press button [B] to reset the display.

The words 'SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Switch ignition OFF.

Audi Allroad (2.5)- 2000 to 2005

If you wish to retain longlife servicing, the service interval indicator should only be reset by diagnostic equipment.  

If you are using fixed servicing intervals you can use the procedure below .

Press and hold button [A].

Switch ignition ON.

The words 'SERVICE' or ' SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display.

Release button [A].

Press button [B] to reset the display.

The words 'SERVICE IN xxxx MI' will appear in the trip recorder display.
